Ground Observations - 2011-2012 the Hali Season

Okay, so these are the fotos i got on the last day we saw Mum & Dad together before Dad left for the Salmon runs.
i had my ear open for Hali.
i figured she would be nearby.
But i neither saw nor heard her this evening.

Thank you Booni for the excellent play by play of the climbers and all that work!  It was so detailed that I think you could make the climb the next time!     LOL.  I can just see the photos from you from atop that tree    .  Kidding aside, it took a great amount of work and concentration to perform all that work. Also a great reminder to send a donation to HEGPS!

This was a warm, quiet, uneventful evening.
Mum & Dad just perched & preened for the longest time.

Mum was even napping it was so quiet!
Notice this isn*t her nictitating membrane, but is her feathered eyelid.

Here Mum has her tail fanned out after preening underneath it.
Look how stained & worn the feathers are.
When she comes back for the new season, her tail feathers are all shiny white again.
