So!
i got invited to go on the Sun Corona to try to capture some of the Wildlife activity occurring around the Herring Spawn.
Turned out she wants video clips, so, these are all videos from yesterday*s trip.

i LOVE these Long-tailed Ducks!
i don*t often get a chance to photograph them.
Usually the boat is moving, & they fly away as we approach.
We were in calmer water, & not moving so fast, so i got a chance.
The boat begins to move & i am trying to keep steady, ha ha.

Look at them all slurping away against each other!
The boat was turned off & we were drifting, & they seemed very curious about us.

The growling is the Steller*s Sea Lions.

The Captain pointed out a stillborn Sea Lion pup being eaten by a Gull!
Look how tiny they are compared to the Gull.

We are leaving, but watch them keep up with us!

These were exciting to see!

Probably the highlight of the day, Orca!
These are the T46s.
Transient Orca, so they eat Sea Lions & Seals.
Our local Whale & Orca spotter, Louis, says -
These are the T46s, Transient Orca.
They are an old family.
T46 is really old, one of the oldest Orca alive.
She is also Tl'uk's great grand mother (the little white Orca)

Now we*re going back to Deep Bay to drop off Mike Yip.
