This is my first time to post in here so please bear with me if it doesn't turn out as I'm not very technical, lol!!!  I had a handsome visitor at my feeder yesterday, a gorgeous male pheasant and I'm hoping to share a couple of pictures of him with you all!!  I think it is great having this place to post our photos and stories... now if I could only figure out how to download my pictures...

Welcome punkinhead! I am so glad to see that you finally got registered and have posted. There is a tutorial section that you may want to look at regarding posting photos. I can't wait to see the pheasant. They are beautiful birds but then they all are...just some more so than others!  :nod2

I just checked out Kamali's tutorials about downloading pictures to this site... since I don't have PhotoBox I decided to try her instructions using Flickr... fingers crossed that it works...

Well guess I'm not doing something right as these are the links to my pics instead of the actual pics... :(

I'll have to try again after the holidays as I don't have time to fool around with it any more right now... sorry!!    Gee I can't even figure out how to insert smileys, lol!!!!!

Hi Punkinhead, cute user name.
I looked at all your pictures very nice, lovely scenery pics you live in a beautiful part of the world. It's pretty neat when the chickadees land on your hand hey, their so delicate. The flowers, birds & beavers all good pics.
Seen a couple pics from Africa here's a link to a section to WE Safari on this forum. http://www.ournaturezone.com/index.php?topic=44.0

Hi Punkinhead.

You have posted the link to your page/album at Flickr instead of a link to each picture you want to post in the forum.

You have some wonderful photos there!

Punkinhead: the pheasant is beautiful. Clickable links work just fine too. :)

Christmas morning I went to the Skagit River on the North Cascades Highway in Washington State.
It was a beautiful crisp Winter morning and I saw some of the eagles that were there for the spawning salmon.

The photos were taken between mile post 99 and mile post 100.

Raptor, beautiful captures on a beautiful day.  It must have been exciting to see the eagles, the snow on the mountains and to have such perfect weather...all on the same day!   :ecsmile

Punkinhead, thank for posting the pictures of the pheasant in your yard.  We don't see any of them where I live.  It's so nice to be able to see various birds from many places!

Thanks for the lovely photos, Raptorman.  That eagle in the tree looks like a big female to me.

What a nice way to spend Christmas morning.

Video: The Cat Makes a Wish

This cat has killed several birds in my yard.  War has officially been declared.  Don’t worry, I would never hurt him, but I do have a very good HISS and a sprinkler system, which I can manually turn on.  By the way, this same cat went into a neighbor’s home last year and beat up her cat on his on turf!  I call that cheeky.

PS:  The cat did not get his wish when I made this video.  :biggrin6
