Today i was out working in my front yard & heard an Eaglet calling close by!
i scanned the tops of the trees but saw nobody.
Then i scanned the sky & saw TWO Eaglets or one Eaglet & an Eagle flying over!
wooohoooo!

Nest #9 is visible from near where i check my mail every day.
So we almost daily were able to see what the Ninelet was doing.

Every day when i checked my mail & walked Chester, we*d see if we could spot the Ninelet.
We were usually rewarded!
i only ever saw one Ninelet on the Nest Tree, but if i ever get to them, i have fotos & video of a day where it seemed like there were actually two!

This is one of the Raven pair that nest near Nest #9.
They share my neighbourhood & also the neighbourhood of the webcam Nest.
One of them only had 2/3 of a tail, & i spotted them on Grassy Point & at the beach in front of the Nest.
Here they are across the road from me in a #9 perch Tree.
Looked at their hooked beak!

We were on our daily mail walk when i heard interesting sounds!
There were three Pileated Woodpecker fledglings along the roadside near the Nest.

Here is another day in the life of the Ninelet, out on our evening walk.

Here he is a few days later.

Perhaps he spots Chester here!  :mhihi

This is either him or his Nest mate in the Spire Tree, ten minutes later, i suspect his Nest mate, the second Eaglet!

These photos are wonderful.  I love the woodpeckers...and of course the eaglets.  It never ceases to amaze when, through you I am looking into the eyes of these wonderful folks!  Miigwetch

Great pics, booni!  The Niner siblings are all lovely (or is it handsome?)

Love the little woodies, too  :ecsmile
