emc, beans, booni and all the contributors, THANK YOU! This is a worthy cause and we can make the difference here. And all you who are volunteering to help put the posters out (Kristy) you rock!!

I think these pictures are impactful.

Mary Jane's first one looks good, and is royalty free! But there is a fee...

Can't get this picture, go to this link:

http://www.stockphotos.it/image.php%3Fimg_id%3D2701320%26img_type%3D1&usg

The third one, of the swan is dramatic. I also like that it isn't a cormorant, pelican, or seagull, who are all known to try and get a fish that is being reeled in. ( so their injuries  are dismissed by some people)

From the last link:

The other ones won't show well enough, imo.

Butting in here - sorry if I shouldn't . . . With the recent incident involving "toes" . . . How about

Tow the Line

Pic

So they don't have too

Just an idle thought

I did really like "find the line", as that didn't imply guilt.

you didn't leave it - you just found it - but still responsible for removing it.

Thank you Faithy for your opinion.  We want it and need opinions.  :biggrin6 :pray

I like Find the Line too.  Those that lose their line accidentally, usually can't retrieve it.But if it frees up later, someone could...

Click to see image of bird caught in six pack.

Does it show up enough for a poster?

This week I'm going out to the marina to take some pictures.  If I'm lucky, I'll find a brown pelican.  Most like it will be gulls, but they are always getting entangled in fishing line, too.  I'll get a high def pic suitable for printing a poster.  None of my pics are copyrighted, so anyone can use them.

Does anyone know of a picture hosting service that will allow uploads a big pics?  PhotoBucket has a limit (I think it's 800px wide) and we need a site that will allow 2000 or even more.

We need a big pic of eagle above to blow up to poster size.

Another idea is to simply print up small cards and hand them out at docks, etc.  Here's an example:  I imported the pictures to MsWord document.  I can put cardstock in my computer and print out a few pages.  Then I get a paper cutter and cut them apart.  Voila!  Small pictures to hand out.  One does not need to start with a big picture to do this project.  And anyone with access to a color printer could do this.  Even black and white might work.

On my pics, I would print "fishing line kills birds" so the people I give the cards to would know that I'm trying to save the birds.

"Find the line" does not work for me. Mind Your Line tells fishermen/women to watch their line and carry it out. Find the line may be a lot of things - the line for corn dogs?  :ecwink :heart.
