Booni, Wren, (and Coop peeps and MARS).... thank you for your loving rescue of the grounded eaglet.   :eclove

Booni, your story reads like a thriller novel!  What suspense!  You and wren did great and I am so glad you were able to rescue the eaglet and see s/he would be cared for by MARS.

MARS, thank you for all you do.

The eaglet from nest #24 is doing well at MARS and here's the latest photo, taken Thursday. He's been joined by a third eaglet and all three are hanging out together in one of the small flight pens. He's acquired the name 'Big Blue', for the tape band that we put on to identify him.

What a beautiful eaglet, looking at that crop 'Big Blue' obviously loves the meals there.

Wonderful, thanks Valleybirds.

Here's a short video of our three eaglets at feeding time. Big Blue is much less aggressive than his first companion, so they had to be fed separately. All are doing well.

Oh, those three are wonderful to see!
Thank you so much.
They are each so different.
The Nest looks fantastic.
Do all three go in there at once?
wooohoooo!

I'm not sure if all three are snuggling into the nest, but they probably would try. I should be getting a look at the video from our flight pen camera, soon, so will try to get some shots.

Valleybirds, how wonderful to see the three eaglets. They look well and a good eaters; even if the salmon needs to be cut up  :eclol.

I've just put up a Facebook album with the three juveniles that we got, including Big Blue, from Hornby. Here's the link, since there are too many to post here, but here's one from the series.

And the info and link from the album....

The three juvenile Bald Eagles were doing well in their medium-sized enclosure, getting lots of wing exercise and 'branching'. They were moved to the large flight pen on Saturday so they can have more flying practice and actually fledge. The three interns each got to catch one, weigh it and put it in the new pen.
