The cam is off air and this is the latest information from the Hornby Island Fire Department

nowmageddon update:
 - Stay at home
 - Doug Nixon is currently out plowing but most roads have not been plowed or only have one strip down the middle.
 - Central Road impassable between Sandpiper and Cove with trees down before and after Strachan Road.
 - Many sidestreets have trees down.
 - Hydro on 9AM ferry from Buckley Bay.
 - Many HIFR responders are temporarily unable to respond. Please be careful.

The live stream has been down for several weeks due to a problem with ustream.  We have people working on this but  don't know when it will be resolved.  The camera and associated equipment are operational and we are posting video updates (from the DVR) of the eagles' activities on a daily basis.
