Another look at this nest today.
From afar I saw an adult landing on the nest, and could hear at least one eaglet as the adult eagle approached. First time I hear eaglet sounds from the ground this year.

None of my photos shows anything but piled-up branches, though... Next time maybe.

Good to hear there is new life in at least one eagles nest on Hornby Island . This does not appear to be a great year for eagles. Whiterock nest is empty too. Let's hope next year makes up for it.

i was getting some breakfast for lunch & the whole time i could hear an Eaglet calling from this Nest.
So i took my lunch & went to see what i could see.
An Eaglet was being fed by an adult with all the lovely accompanying churbles & squeals.
From my angle, it was all only visible barely through the sticks.
After the adult left the youngster clambered up onto the edge of the Nest & i was able to get a better view of them.
There only seems to be one, but that is always open to be proved wrong.

Since i was in the neighbourhood, i decided to take a peek at what the Eaglet in this Nest was up to.
Branching!
The Nest is just over to the left here.

Was parked in the neighbourhood of this Nest yesterday so searched out the Eaglet.
Found them branching ABOVE the Nest this time, next branch up & quite a ways up from last time.

The Eaglet was making their Eaglet calls & i could hear the female gulling from the top of the Tree.
