On my way home i lucked out to find an Eagle in The Peters* Tree watching the beach.
At first the face looks unfamiliar & the beak looks HUGE, but i believe this is Em?
She*s got a bit of a full crop!

That does look like Em. I always thought she had an unusually long beak.  Probably good for hunting.

Woohoooo!
i FINALLY lucked out & caught a PAIR of Eagles for the first time in forEVER!
The one in the top of the Tree has a curled over & fringey secondary feather on their back that you can see from this angle.
We have been seeing this individual since march, i believe.
ajl & her Eagle eye catches all these wonderful i.d. details that i would miss.

Now i am looking back at them from closer to the water.

The lower Eagle, Em?, was doing a lot of preening, plus i was having difficulty squeezing both Eagles into one foto.
Coming up for air from preening, here.

Spotted this Eagle on my way home yesterday.
Interesting markings on the left side of the tail feathers noticeable here.
