Thanks Booni.  Gosh I hope Dad is o.k. Em too.

Thanks for the photos and posting what you see up there.

Booni thanks for the cam link. That one works for me.

I read some of Sparkie's video summaries. It doesn't look like Dad or Em have done any recent nestorations. I'm speculating (because I'm nervous about Dad).  But is it possible he paired up with another female who had a different nest? Or is that against their nature?

Thanks.
Sandy

Yay that the link worked for you for the cam nubchai/Sandy!
Here is the link to the cam with chat, in case that might work for you too.

It seems that another/other males are challenging Dad for Em & the nesting territory.
Dad may be laying low while Em decides or perhaps he has left to follow the food.
Em & Dad were doing nestorations before this influx of Eagles following the food.
i believe Em is holding out for Dad.
Meanwhile she is being courted by a male that she is not accepting, & he has not been the only one.
All i can do is keep watching & looking for Dad*s feather, to see if he is still around.
Sometimes it has seemed like he is, but i haven*t had proof for quite a while now.
The last time i spotted Dad for sure was in this series of fotos.
You can still see the remains of his beak injury.
Now that he has had almost two months to heal since that foto, it is hard to tell it is him because his beak has healed so well, if it is him.
i have posted fotos labelled as Dad?, where i believe it is him but can*t be sure or prove it.

Going back in time, placing catch up.
On my driveby through the territory i spotted this Eagle.

Thanks Booni!  That was the nest cam link I had but for some reason the chat window doesn't display for me. *Update* It was Adobe Flash. Now I can see chat. Thank you!! *

I did see that that overly aggressive eagle was going after Em. I'm glad she's rejecting him and others. I hope you're right that Dad is laying low or maybe following the food.  I thought his beak looked much better and that he was healing.  Fingers crossed  :ecsmile

i went to the back side of the Nest when i noticed Eagles there.
Two were in The Babysitting Tree, & one was at the top of Constables* Fir.
i could hear Em? crying, but wasn*t sure which one was her.
This was the Eagle in Constables* Fir.

march 16 2018 12:37 - Eagle on Constables* Fir

i think this might be Tiny Triller.
He is very tiny, compared to Em?.
i heard him trill & his call is very weak/quiet.
He has been very persistent about following Em around.

Here is the Eagle on Constables* from the back & well lit.
i don*t see Dad*s feather.

Em was making one note gulling calls.
Suddenly Tiny Triller flew from his perch & around & landed closer to Em.

i was on my way home & lucked out to catch a Herring feeding event in the Nest territory!
i posted videos of the fabulous sighting here.
All those Sea Birds floating in those videos dive down to concentrate the Herring into a tight ball near the surface.
They nab a Herring for themselves in the process.
In the videos you can see the Herring bubbling & leaping at the surface of the water where Eagles & Gulls can then fly past & nab one for themselves.
There were Eagles in all the Trees around me in those videos.
You can hear the sounds of their wings landing & taking off from the Trees.
Here is one of the participants in that feeding event.
They have a Herring scale on their beak.

These two were on the beach in front of the Nest.

Em needs to show him the door!
She does when he starts moving sticks, on the Nest.
She is waiting for Dad, who could be just lying low somewhere.

More fotos from the day there were so many Eagles around i didn*t know what to do with myself.
