I keep wondering if that special feather somehow molted off and regrew without the distinctive speckling. Or was somehow pulled out in some other way.

Would a new replacement feather grow without that white streak? After a moult?

I don't know. Boonie or AJL? Is it possible that feather has molted and the replacement doesn't have the same coloring?

Yes nubchai, that is entirely possible.

We passed through the Nest neighbourhood a few times yesterday & only once spotted a single Eagle in The Babysitting Tree.
At the same time, there was THIS Eagle at Grassy Point!

She has Herring scales stuck all over the right side of her beak!

She is lower down, on the right side of the Tree.

Nictitating membrane blinking in this first one.

This could be Hali!

Whoever was in The Babysitting Tree was not chasing this one away.
& at some point this Eagle called out as well as the one in The Babysitting Tree.

A gorgeous Eagle!
& she wasn*t at all bothered by us & other people walking around Grassy Point.
Some Eagles fly off at the sight of people, but not this one.
