Very nice and colorful series of action shots, booni.   :nod2  Must have been interesting to be there.

i still haven*t managed to get a foto which shows Dad*s distinctive feather.
But on this day i spotted two Eagles in the midst of lots of other visitor Eagles who seemed to be them, to me.

march 9 2018 15:27 - Eagle (Dad?) in The Babysitting Tree

This Eagle perched undisturbed for the whole time i was there, til they finally flew off themselves.
No Eagle chased this one away.

march 9 2018 16:34 - Eagle in upper left branch of The Babysitting Tree

Who i thought might be Dad is now in one of the upper left branches of The Babysitting Tree & he is relaxing his right foot by clenching it out in front of him.

This Eagle appeared to be Em, to me.
She is lower down & on the right side of The Babysitting Tree.
There were six Eagles on the Tree when i arrived, everyone just resting.

march 9 2018 16:36 - Em? in The Babysitting Tree

march 9 2018 16:40 - cutie pie at the top of The Babysitting Tree

This other young Eagle landed a bit lower down in the Babysitting Tree with all the rest & Dad right away started making a fuss, as you can see in this foto.

march 9 2018 16:41 - Dad & young visitor in The Babysitting Tree

He chased this young one off & put himself in the branches where the youngster was.
Yet the youngster on the top of the Tree & the almost adult on the left top of the Tree were left undisturbed.

If this is Dad, then holy-moly, his terrible beak injury has healed up very nicely!

Em & Dad, if that is who they are, regarding each other.
They have been joined by Starlings.

Starling here, too.

This was a new arrival, also left undisturbed.

march 9 2018 16:49 - youngster with Dad? & Em? in The Babysitting Tree

march 9 2018 16:51 - Dad? in The Babysitting Tree

On my way home i spotted this youngster in The Woodpecker Tree.
They look a bit comical because i am too close, looking straight up at them.

Sure hope it's Dad, booni.  If it is, he's looking good!     :nod2

Next day & on my way home i check all the Trees that often have Eagles in them.
i find this pair & my heart starts beating fast!
These look so much like Mum!
We have been wondering where Dad is, is this them together?

march 2 2018 14:26 - Eagle pair in Fork Tree

When i get home & look closer at my fotos on my computer, i am no longer convinced.
Had me going for a moment though!
This Tree is usually Mum & Dad & Em*s territory, & i have posted this idea already up higher in this topic, that perhaps this is the Wiigs, making this more their territory since the webcam territory is in a bit of an uproar now?
In this foto they sure like like Mum & Dad.

Oops.
Sitting safely in my car seat, i am glad i am not a Herring right about now.

Booni has anyone seen Dad and Em in the nest area?  The webcam link isn't working for me.  Great photos! Thanks.

The very best way to spend a sunny Friday afternoon!  I can't help but be reminded of the poem "High Flight" by John Magee when I watch this.

Thank you to Booni for touring me around to all the best spots for birds and eagles.  The whole weekend was sunny with the promise of Spring in the air.  This bay was full of sea birds (how do you count them??), with eagles soaring around in a competition for food maybe, or a game of chase.

Since both Eagles were facing me from the well lit side, i went around to the dark side & photographed them against the Sun, not the best conditions, but i am looking for Dad*s feather & need to see him from the back.
So, this is the one i thought might be Dad.

march 12 2018 16:50 - Eagle in The Babysitting Tree

This is the other Eagle, & they have now turned to face me in this direction too.

The first Eagle again.

The second Eagle.
