jungleland, apparently another eagle chose to fight with him and bit his beak hard and inflicted other wounds on his body.  Eagles fight for a variety of reasons, including food, mates and territory.

We hope he will be able to get enough food and moisture and to heal satisfactorily.

Thanks Tigerlady for your reply.  Thanks Booni for your beautiful photos of dad.  On another note I can't seem to chat on the eagle group.  I'm logged into chatango.

On another note I can't seem to chat on the eagle group.  I'm logged into chatango.

Some browsers (Chrome is especially problematic) are not loading the chat on our web cam page.
The pop-out chat should work, or try another browser, such as Firefox.

Hope to see you there!

I remember dear Dad tenderly feeding Mom H  when she was injured, and now there he looks much the same.  love
Wish I could feed him, and show him he is loved too.  nod

Miigwetch for the photos booni.

Dad's beak still looks nasty... I sure hope that he continues to get some food,
and that it heals enough for him to do his "dad" job.

I think Dad looks pretty strong.  He just needs time to heal.
