We are pretty sure there is a Nest near the Bakery, though we have never seen it.
From the Bakery you can hear the Eaglets at this time of year.

Cool!
Yesterday evening I took my canoe out from Grassy Point to Collishaw. Between Nest 9 and Nest 7, there was an eaglet screeping away somewhere on shore, and an adult eagle perched on a rock by the water. I never did find the eaglet, but heard him or her loud and clear for the whole time I was in the area. I've been thinking over the years that the eagles from this territory, which I've been calling Nest 8 after Doug's old map, might have their bit of shore in that area. I often see eagles there, with the Collishaw (nest 7) pair on one side and the Niners on the other.

I'll post the pics of the adult in this thread when I get to them.

i*ve been hearing an Eaglet calling from somewhere over that way early in the morning when i am still in bed.
Since Niners have no Eaglet this year, perhaps this is who i*m hearing?

Here are the photos I took of the adult eagle by the water, between Niner territory and the Collishaw nest.

The eaglet was calling from somewhere further up but I wasn't able to get a view.

Nest 8 eagle? August 8, 7 pm

Again this eagle is immobile and I'm drifting past, so the angle and background keep changing.
He or she was still there when I returned an hour later, and so was the eaglet.
