The same day we had gone for a walk to Little Tribune Bay & saw lots of action here, we also went for a walk along Tribune Bay high up on the grass.
Our first sighting was this Bird.

How about THIS cool dudette???
What a beauty, & such interesting dark colouring.
i just LOVE all the different colouring of the young Eagles!
She is perched right in the Nest Tree & no one is chasing her  off.

We went for a walk on the beach in front of this Nest today.
When we sat to take a break i had a pretty good view of the Nest & thought maybe i saw someone up there?
i was just focusing my camera as the adult there was turning & then moving down into the Nest to either incubate or brood someone in there!
(skewed, so please click to see properly)

This pair flew in in front of the Nest in the field next to the tennis court even with us sitting right there.
This was the bigger one & was the one watching us while the other ate.

We decided to have a picnic for lunch & the Sun was blazing hot so we sat on the grass under the Nest Tree.
This Eagle was perched on this branch just above the Nest the whole time.
Head feathering is quite stained here.
(Two fotos are skewed so please click them to see them properly.)

After these fotos the Eagle took off & was circling the area over the Nest Tree & whenever they were close to the Nest, i could hear the calls of at least one hatchling/Eaglet!  hatch
The adult then landed in this area of the Nest Tree, still near the Nest, & was looking out over the water.

Next day we went for a walk in the hot Sun along the grassy upland of the beach.
The Wind was HOWLING!
You could hear Tree branches cracking with the force of the Wind.
Our destination was the beach, where the tide was out & we could walk out far & then look back & see into the Nest.
The wind was blowing so hard that it was picking up the sand & whipping it along the beach where it then gathered in drifts.
Yikes!
i was afraid of getting sand whipped into my eyes & camera, but it seemed to just be skittering across our legs & feet.
It was hard for me to photograph the Nest from this distance.
The Wind was actually catching & moving my body & camera so that my subject wasn*t in the frame when i was clicking!

In the middle of my photographing, the Eagle stood up & here was looking down into the Nest bowl.

We went for a walk in the hot bright Sun on the grassy uplands of Tribune Bay where there are very few people this time of year, as everyone else is on the beach.
i was eyeballing the Nest Tree as soon as i could see it, looking for where the Eaglet was at.
We could hear the Eaglet calling the whole time, but just could not see where she was.
Was she still lying down on the Nest?
Or was she branching.
In the bright Sun it was hard to see my monitor to spot her, so i just took fotos of the Nest, hoping she*d be visible later when i looked at my fotos.
Sure enough, i caught her tail in one of my Nest fotos!
She was blended in so well i couldn*t see her.
& she is branching now!
You can see the lovely tassels on her tail feathers.  heart
& look at all the fluffies stuck to the Fir branches!
