Wooohoooooooooo!
FINALLY we have some good news for everyone!

WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE!!!

FIRST
HEGPS would like to thank all of those who have contributed to our fundraiser for keeping the cam streaming!  Without your generous donations and dedication to The Hornby Eagles we would not have been able to address the problems that arose from the lightning strike.  We were able to get the cam and microphone and grey box down from the tree and sent off to Securco for analysis.

We are pleased that Securco was able to repair and replace elements in our cam system and it is now operable once again.  They secured the latest technology that will work the best with the poor bandwidth issues faced on Hornby Island, and have assured us that we will be pleased with the results.

YAY! Again... because of your dedication to the Hornby Eagles, WE CAN CONTINUE!!

So this is where we are now.... the equipment has been purchased and will be brought to Hornby for installation at the earliest convenience of Securco techs, Tree climbers, and ground crews. This of course will also depend on the weather.

Further fundraising will be necessary and we will keep you informed of that as the goals are determined.

Thank you all....we are looking forward to seeing Dad and his mate Em start this new season.
wooohoooo!

So, just to update everyone.
Securco wants some spare parts on hand for the mic on installation day in case the parts we have aren*t working.
They are to arrive at Securco from Arizona this week.
Then we need a nice sunny or at least dry day.
In october Hornby received 29/31 days of rain & november hasn*t been any different.
So even if all the parts were ready to go, we haven*t had a good weather window for the Tree climb & installation.
Once these last parts are in, we will be aiming for the next dry day for installation.

Okay!
Securco has finally received those spare mic parts they*ve been waiting for to come in the mail.
Now what we need is a nice dry day so the Tree can be climbed & the new cam system installed.
Securco will send a tech over for us when this day is decided upon.
Waiting to hear from Dan & gang about what day will work for them, weather considering.
wooohoooo!

Wonderful news to back online to! Been without computer again, hopefully all is okay and dealing with my sister-in-law, my brother's wife. She had a heart attack while in Arizona and had to be brought back by air ambulance to Brampton. She is going to have by pass surgery and a value replaced also.  So lots going on right now. So this is a breathe of fresh air to see.

It has been four long months since our cam system got damaged!
& we have had a string of rainy weather such as i*ve not seen since i moved here.
But, if you look at the predictions here, you will see some hope for next week!
i have contacted Dan to try to book him so we can book the tech to come from Securco.
He has a job to finish first, then hopefully he will have time for us?!!!
