& then we got even MORE snow!
As much as had already fallen, or even more.
Otto was lucky indeed to have such long legs.
He only went as far as he had to, though, but he did love romping about & eating the snow.
You can see him in the window in these two fotos.

Yesterday I walked to Grassy Point at sunset.
I could hear a lot of trilling coming from the far end of Niner Territory; at least one eagle was visible on the horizon line.
Then I spotted the passing eagle that was getting trilled at....
This eagle flew closer, closer...
And landed in a tree near Grassy Point. I wondered who this eagle was, looked like planning to stop over for the night?
I didn't expect much when I took a few photos, but look at the broken primary feather, and at the neckline...
It's Em!

A visit to Grassy Point at the end of my day.
Around 5 pm, an eagle comes in from the ocean and lands on one of the Grassy Point fishing trees. There was already another eagle there... They both started calling...
I tiptoed closer with camera... Sure enough, it's Dad and Em.
February 18, 5:13 pm
5:20
At 5:23 Dad takes off, flying straight out to sea.
I was hoping he'd bring back a gift for his sweetie, but he came back 3 minutes later, not carrying anything, and flew on to the nest area.
Both eagles called out a few times. Em's looking back toward the nest and BST, where Dad is.
5:26
Fading light... Em was still in the same spot when I left.
