Em had been gone from the Nest for 11 hours on this day so i got a call asking me to go look for her.
i went around the neighbourhood twice & didn*t spot her in any of the Trees.
Was she on the beach?
So i remembered a spot i am allowed to go where i can see almost the whole beach.
i was scanning the beach for a white head but not seeing one when a white head came flying from the direction of Hidden Beach.
Perhaps she had been in the Trees there.
She circled over The Peters* Tree as though to land there, but then went to the Nest & exchanged with Dad.
Perhaps she had been looking for food all this time?
& wasn*t finished?
But Dad told her it was her turn on the Nest?
So i waited where i was & watched Dad land in The Peters* Tree while Em took over the Nest.
Here he is in all his glory, distinctive feather & all.

Looking towards the beach here, the tide is way out.

Here he is from the other side, looking nestwards, & look!, he has a distinctive marked feather on this side too!

Meanwhile, here is Em, panting, on the Nest.
