i had the windows down when i was driving down the road to this Nest & i could hear an Eaglet calling!
A bit later, i went down to the end of the road & at least one Eaglet was making a steady set of calls.

Tralee Point nest tree, seen from the beach...
One eaglet standing tall on the nest.

July 22, 12:00

The giant branches of this tree always remind me of a cathedral's flying buttresses.

This morning I walked past this nest, and I could hear the eaglet way off towards shore.
Another new flyer!

Since I last posted here, I passed by this territory a few times and each time I heard the eaglet calling from the same area.

I was a little bit worried that he or she might be grounded... It seems late in the season.

Today I had a little more time to look around... I found that eaglet way at the top of a great big tree! A parent was also nearby. So hopefully all is well.

We went for a walk on the beach in front of the Tralee Nest & i was scanning the Trees for the parents & the Eaglet.
There was a snag, a dead top Tree, & i was examining the very top of it.
Was that the top or was that an Eaglet?
It was the Traleelet, blending in with the dead top of the Tree!

You can see the tassels on some of the covert feathers on the back & wing area.
