Yesterday was a lovely warm summer day & Donna & i rented Jim Funk & his Water Taxi to take us looking for wild life on the water!
It was fabulous.
He took us nice & slow & showed us all kinds of things along the way.
We learned a lot.
We headed out from Ford Cove, along Heron Rocks & out to the end of Heron Rocks where we saw lots of Seals, Cormorants & Oystercatchers.
i*ve never seen so many Seals on the rocks, usually they are covered with Sea Lions.
But we only saw one snoozing Sea Lion yesterday, off Flora Island.
After Heron Rocks he took us out to Norris Rocks.

We even saw one Eagle!

Jim took us all the way around Flora, & we were surfing on the larger ocean waves out there.
Then he picked a path that took us way out past Flora, & zoomed in a line all the way back to Ford Cove.
There were TONS of Birds on the water, of all kinds.
Donna kept saying there were no Birds anywhere we went, but here they all were, way out in the water far from shore.
Here we are, zooming back to Ford Cove, or so i thought.
Looking backwards, rather than where we are going, there is Flora Island & Helliwell, Tribune Bay & Norris Rocks closer in, & Downes Point.
Suddenly we were in the shadow of Denman!
What the heck?
What are we doing here?
Is he going to take us around Denman now?
We are already over the time that we paid him for!

Donna and booni, it looks as if this already is a great time to be there.  (Of course, all seasons really are good... LOL)   :nod2
