The Wiigs occupy the territory just to the right of Mum & Dad Hornby*s.
We can see them in their perch Trees on Sandstone Point, & on the Point itself, with our webcam.
Their Nest Tree is absolutely stupendous.
You can see a bit of the back edge of it from the road, but i haven*t managed to spot it from the beach yet, nor have i found a good vantage point to see into it better.

Last season, we are a bit skimpy on obs, but i believe they ended up having one Eaglet make it out of the Nest, & we spotted them on Gregg*s Tree with the webcam!
You can see that page of ground obs here.

The 2013-2014 season, the Wiigs did not seem to lay eggs.
You can read about that season, & find links to previous seasons here.

We went for a walk from Hidden Beach then around Sandstone Point & almost to the Brigantine Nest territory, but spotted no Eagles.
On the way back, there was this lovely Great Blue Heron, nice & close, with the lovely water as background.
i took some fotos, then we walked on, high up the beach, trying to tiptoe around the Heron without scaring them away.
The Heron never flew off, & i was able to get even closer fotos til someone came along with two dogs & let the little one chase the Heron away, grrrr...
In this foto, the Heron is so relaxed, perched on one foot!

We also spotted this green rock with Cormorants perched atop.
We see this rock from the webcam!

I visited the area of this nest on July 20. Sure looks quiet around there. The nest is far away from the road, but photos showed no sign of occupancy: no poopshots on the branches, no down clinging to twigs.
This may be another fallow year for this pair.

Seems like it is not the best year for eaglets - would that be food supply? human noise and disturbance? weather?
