HIP trip 2015
« on: January 04, 2015, 06:57:15 PM »
Can we get a 2015 thread?  Planning on attending and need folks to explore dates that work.

I was thinking June 11 through 13th for the Hornby side of things.  Thoughts?

if you are looking at places or ideas where you can stay.  We stayed at Ford Cove, they have cabins and there is WiFi there

The cabins aren't luxurious but they're nice enough, have wi-fi, a gorgeous view & great area to explore - especially when the tide's out.
We'll probably be coming but not sure where we'll stay.

Anyone else?

I hope to come if I can get all the ducks in a row - dates will be fine - whatever you all decide.

I booked flights to Vancouver Island June 6, returning  home June 23, so I can be on Hornby any time in there, that works for everyone.  I will also visit my son and MARS during that time, but will not make arrangements until I know when everyone will be gathering together.

wooohooo!

We have just received confirmation of our reservation of the entire house at Grassy Point B&B, June 12 thru 19.

"We" being:  Mr.& Mrs.Joyofdogs; Mr.& Mrs.Idahowa; Jeav; Peppy; Flood; and me, Foldirol.  It will be almost like old times :heart

Grassy Point B&B is now fully booked, but there are other options if anyone else is thinking of visiting Hornby Island for this year's HIP Trip.  Ford Cove cabins are comfortable, and a lovely view of the water - and also have wifi.

HIP Trip 2015

An unexpected cancellation means that there is now a vacancy at Grassy Point B&B for this year's HIP Trip - we would love to hear if there is anyone who could take advantage of this short notice and enjoy a few days on Hornby Island.

Most of us (Joyofdogs & Mr.Joy, Idahowa and Mr.Ida, Peppy, Jeav and Foldi) will arrive on June12.

Beautiful accommodation overlooking the water, gorgeous views across to Texada and the mainland - just as you see them on the cam - only for real!

His 'n Hers trees in the next-door backyard - all the sights and sounds of Hornby - except the saws aren't as loud at ground level!

Please contact by PM for further information if you are interested - we would love to see you there!

Disappointing that someone had to cancel.  :ecsad  We always have such a wonderful time on Hornby  :eclol while we are learning so much.   It would be helpful to know  how many plan to be there during the time between June 12 and 19.  We would like to have few get-togethers with anyone interested.  :nod2b  In past years we have had a Pizza night on the Friday  and a Pot luck supper on the Sunday.   We are open to suggestions as well.  :hmmm
