Looking towards Mum & Dad, who are still perched in The Babysitting Tree, Scootch decides it*s time to skeedaddle!

Wonderful Wonderful photos, Booni!!  Thank you so much!  Though it hurts to see Mom's injuries, it's as though we're looking at her still alive and strengthening!  Gives me a pang of sorrow and a spark of hope!  Thank You!  And the photos of Scootch are fabulous, too!  Must be Scootch!  Landing on her branch above the cam, where she appeared after her "lost weekend"!  Thank you! love love

Eagles showed up earlier than expected in September 2015.  eek!

The posts about those eagles, with booni's and wren's photos, have been moved to a new topic: here

Booni thanks for the photos. Mum did take a beating.  When I found out she had gone missing I went back to look at the videos of her, including the last day she was seen. From the time she was injured to the time she left, she was eating, flying and really looked very strong.  On the last video she was in the nest by herself. There had been an influx of more eagles due to some sort of feeding frenzy going on in the water.  What I remember is that she was looking strong, but nervous as other eagles flew overhead. Then she started jumping up and down in the nest and calling out, it seemed angrily.  I still think she left because she was weakened by the fight where she was injured, felt intimidated by all of the aggressive eagles, and went off to follow the food as Booni said. I really hope we see her again in October.
