A couple days later, there was THIS gorgeous sight!
Likely one of the Belcarra pair.
They don*t seem wet, so maybe they are just airing their feathers in the wind & the sun?
Look how all the belly & chest feathers, also the head feathers, are all fluffed out.
LOVE the open wings!

What a sweet picture of the youngsters shoulder to shoulder. It sure indicates that there is abundant food around.

The older one, on the right, even seems to be developing a Bandit stripe over the eyes!

Okay, so i started this day of photography in the Nest #20 territory here.
After spending time with that sweet, forlorn youngster there, i carried on, looking for more Eagles.
My eye was caught by this gorgeous blond-feathered youngster glowing in the sun in a perch Tree by the water!
Look how the younger youngsters have all that white mixed in with the brown of their body feathers.
Look at their lovely tail feathers, too.

Nice dark brown young eye on this one.

Scary!
Nictitating membrane fully closed here.

Lots of black still in the beak.

No sneaking up, even on these young ones, they always spot you & watch with curiosity & caution.

Booni!  They are all great, but my favourite is the last picture of that series - what a gorgeous eaglet :heart   Did somebody polish his beak with boot polish - it's so shiny black!  And he certainly is keeping his lovely brown eye on you.

i have left the last sweetie & moved on & found another.
i wish i could have recorded all the vocalizations going on that day!
Especially the really interesting sounds that the different ages of youngsters made.
i intended to, but this was the only time i was able to catch any on video.
Look at this young one, trying to keep an eye on everything at the same time, including me, but also looking to where all the different calls are coming from & to the new arrivals soaring overhead!
