Mum has spotted something & she has her knickers in a twist.
You can see by her body language that she is getting ready to take off.
Look at that slightly open right wing & her eyes at attention.

october 12 2013 15:19 - Mum in the Babysitting Tree

This is a poop shot, but i don*t see any poop.
i LOVE seeing Mum*s leggings here!

Mum is alerted, while Dad is totally calm.
Wonder why he isn*t alerted too.

Whatever Mum sees, Dad doesn*t seem to even be noticing or caring about.

october 12 2013 15:19:54 - Mum & Dad in the Babysitting Tree

Here she goes!
i am honking on the shutter button now.

Fantastic light for all these, lucky lucky.

She has finally caught Dad*s attention!
He can relax, knowing she will take care competently of whatever it is.
You can see her feet & toes & talons, which is cool.
Too bad they are in shadow.
Boodle noticed that Mum*s nictitating membrane is partway closed here!

Feet & toes in this one too!
Dad is looking a bit WIDE, which is a good thing. heartssmiles

Thank you thank you thank you Booni! Those pics of Mom and Dad are beautiful and it is so beautiful to see them together. My theory is that Mom saw a female looking and Dad's handsome self and made her presence known.  nod

Happy new season to Mom and Dad Hornby!

 bow

thank you so much, booni ... these pictures of Mom and Dad are just wonderful.  Dad does look a bit pudgy (he also looks awesomely handsome and probably more than a little happy to see Mom home again).

Booni and Mishi ... thanks so much!  So great to see you on tv!  Mum's hairdo is the same ... gosh, I love that pair.  I appreciate so very much you sharing your photos and observations.  Mishi ... when I saw you the very first thing that crossed my mind was you making that beautiful rock formation on the shore for our lost loved one.  I cryed all over again. I love you gals ... I do not know how or where to go to see a response from you. I have an important question for Mishi.

Mum went on her chase, then returned to the Babysitting Tree with Dad.
She was trilling as she landed, & so was Dad.

october 12 2013 15:20 - Mum lands in the Babysitting Tree

Dad is trilling with Mum, but his perch position is still relaxed.
See how he is standing on his right foot, with the left one tucked under the feathers of his belly to rest & warm.

Mum is still alert to something in the Hidden Beach area.

Doesn*t Dad look happy to have Mum home again?  smileheart

Mum*s distinctive back-of-head feathering.

To go with the foto of Mum*s distinctive back-of-head feathering, here is a video mishi got yesterday of Mum & Dad trilling, & you can hear Mum*s distinctive cachunk!

Gorgeous Dad!  heart

october 12 2013 15:22 - Dad in the Babysitting Tree

Mum completing a shuggle.

She is still alert to something as she finishes her shuggle.

Mum did a LOT of preening.
Here she is preening her back.

The difference between Mum & Dad*s back of head feathering.

Another view of Mum*s back-of-head.
There is an upward point of the dark feathering which goes into the area of the white head feathering, which makes the dark feathering back there more striking.

Dad looks like he may have some food in his crop.

Dad showing us he looks lovely no matter which eye is looking at us.

Are we seeing Dad*s freckle on the top of his head here?
